Brian wasn’t always successful as a teacher and would like to thank all who have taken him under their wing and helped him figure things out. He gives much of the credit for his band’s accomplishments to hard working amazing students, his amazing band parents, many guest clinicians, to his many wonderful teachers and mentors over the years, and especially to his supportive wife and kids
Brian received his Bachelors and Masters of Music from the University of Utah. Besides being a band director, Brian is also a Clarinetist and Composer. Brian has played in the Utah Wind Symphony since their inception in 2010. He currently serves as principal Clarinetist. For fun, Brian enjoys working in his yard in Eagle Mountain, playing soccer with his boys, playing games with his girls and going to Costa Vida with his wife, Jasmine. Brian loves being in nature especially in the mountains, where he gets a lot of his inspiration for his compositions. Brian enjoys mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, and fishing and spending time with his family.
